CATSKILL
DAY HABILITATION PROGRAM

The Day Habilitation Program in Catskill N.Y.
presently serves individuals with developmental and/or physical
disabilities, ranging in age from the mid-twenties to mid-seventies.
It offers a wide range of services for the diverse population
that is served. The purpose is to increase the individual's independence,
productivity and integration, using a setting away from home.
We provide community recreational outings, as well as many activities
at the day habilitation site. There is an arts and crafts coordinator
who assists twice a week. A cooking and baking club has also
been established. These services enable a person to obtain knowledge
and develop competencies and habits, which can add to the quality
of his/her life.
The Catskill Day Program maintains a safe,
secure, and therapeutic environment that is conducive to the
well being of the participants. Networking within the neighborhood
helps the individuals become contributing members of the community.
These services can be provided anywhere, indoors/outdoors, in
which an individual wishes to learn new skills. |
