In Flight Inc., is a nonprofit that provides support services within a home environment and the community for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

In Flight has many career opportunities along with schedules that support a work life balance. We offer the ability to have one weekend day off. Whether you are a Team Lead, DSP, Day Hab DSP, or Med Transporter/DSP you will be instrumental in providing daily support for adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. You will be an essential part in assisting in achieving goals, promoting independence, encouraging socialization, and providing opportunities for community integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the people within the program.
  • Aide in the Individuals completion of daily and long-term goals.
  • Plan activities within the community.
  • Actively engage in daily activities within the residence with the individuals.
  • Ensure that the residence is maintained with a high level of cleanliness and respect for the people that reside there.
  • Assist with personal care and health-related needs.
  • Follow and implement agency practices in accordance with each Individuals Individual Plan of Protective Oversight.
  • Follow all NYS and OPWDD regulations regarding working with IDD populations.

Pay is relative to the position offered. *Increases based on certifications/driver eligibility/experience and education.

$17.00- $21.25

Requirements:

  • Required- High School Diploma or GED
  • Acceptable driver’s license based on insurance company regulations.
  • Pass NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
  • Attend In Flight orientation located in Red Hook.
